SHELTER-SHOP.COM
Shipping Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This Shipping Policy applies to orders placed with Shelter Shop Oy (“we”, “us”, “Shelter Shop”) through shelter-shop.com.
1. Scope – Consumers and Business Customers
For business customers (B2B), the delivery terms stated in our order confirmation or quotation — including any agreed Incoterms® — take precedence over this policy.
For consumers, nothing in this policy limits the rights you have under mandatory law, including the Finnish Consumer Protection Act and EU consumer law. If any provision of this policy conflicts with your statutory rights, your statutory rights prevail.
2. Order Processing
Orders are normally processed within 1–5 business days after order confirmation and receipt of payment. Processing time may vary depending on product availability, customization requirements and order volume. You will receive a confirmation with the order status and an estimated delivery date once your order has been processed. We may deliver an order in several shipments at no additional shipping cost to you.
3. Shipping Methods and Costs
We use professional logistics partners, including international freight carriers, courier services and specialized transport for industrial equipment. The shipping method is selected based on the destination, the size and weight of the shipment, and urgency.
Shipping costs are shown at checkout before you place your order, or provided in a written quotation for customized, oversized or B2B orders.
4. Delivery Time
• Finland: typically 2–5 business days from dispatch.
• International: typically 5–15 business days from dispatch.
• Specialized items (such as heavy or over-sized products, etc.): Delivery time may be quoted separately.
• Products which are not in stock or made to order: a longer, separately communicated delivery time applies.
Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by customs procedures, local regulations or other circumstances outside our control. For consumers: unless a different time has been agreed, we will deliver within 30 days of the order; if we fail to deliver within an additional reasonable period set by you, you may cancel the order as provided by law.
5. Customs, Duties and Taxes
Deliveries within the EU are not subject to customs duties. For shipments to destinations outside the EU, the customer is responsible for any import duties, taxes and customs fees of the destination country, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Customs clearance may extend delivery times.
6. Risk and Title
For consumers, the risk of loss of or damage to the goods passes to you when you (or a person designated by you, other than the carrier) take physical possession of the goods. If you arrange your own carrier, risk passes when the goods are handed to that carrier.
For business customers, risk passes in accordance with the agreed Incoterms® or, if none are agreed, when the goods are handed over to the first carrier.
Title to the goods remains with Shelter Shop Oy until the purchase price has been paid in full.
7. Order Tracking
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive tracking information and shipment details allowing you to monitor the delivery status.
8. Damaged or Lost Shipments
Please inspect the shipment upon delivery. If the packaging or goods are visibly damaged, note the damage on the carrier's delivery document where possible.
• Consumers: notify us of damage or loss within a reasonable time after you discovered or should have discovered it — preferably within 48 hours of delivery — with photos and supporting documentation. Your statutory rights regarding defective goods are not affected by this time frame.
• Business customers: visible transport damage must be noted on the carrier's proof of delivery and reported to us in writing within 5 business days of delivery; otherwise the shipment is deemed accepted.
We will investigate and, where the claim is justified, provide a replacement, repair or other appropriate remedy.
9. Incorrect Shipping Information
Please ensure that the shipping address and contact details you provide are complete and accurate. Additional costs arising from re-delivery, redirection or return of a shipment due to incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer may be charged to the customer.
10. Delays and Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures in delivery caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including customs clearance, carrier disruptions, strikes, natural disasters, or governmental measures. If your shipment is delayed, contact us and we will assist in resolving the issue. This clause does not limit consumers' mandatory statutory rights.
